Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to (a) Venue Owners who subscribe to the our4cuts service, and (b) Guests who use the photo booth at a participating venue. "Design ELF," "we," or "us" refers to Design ELF, 18405 S Vermont Ave #304, Gardena, CA 90248.

2. Data we collect

From Guests (photo booth users)

• Contact information (optional): email address or phone number, collected only when a guest voluntarily opts in at the booth. Opt-in is always skippable.
• Session metadata: timestamp, venue ID, which branded frame was used. No names, no facial recognition, no biometric data.
• Photos: the 4-cut photo strip is delivered directly to the guest via QR scan or email link. We do not store guest photos beyond 30 days.

From Venue Owners

• Business name, contact name, email, phone, and billing information (processed by our payment provider; we do not store raw card data).
• Brand assets you upload (logo, frames).
• Aggregated usage data (sessions per week, opt-in rate) used to generate your weekly recap.

3. How we use data

• Guest contact data is used solely to (1) deliver the guest's photos via email and (2) include the contact in the venue owner's weekly recap and CSV export. We do not use guest contact data for our own marketing.
• Venue data is used to operate the service, generate reports, and contact you about your account.
• We do not sell personal data to third parties.

4. Data sharing

• Venue owner: each venue receives only the guest data collected at their own location. Data is never mixed between venues.
• Service providers: we use third-party infrastructure (cloud hosting, email delivery via Twilio SendGrid, SMS via Twilio) to operate the service. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality agreements.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

5. Data retention

• Guest contact data: retained for the duration of the venue's active subscription, plus up to 90 days after cancellation to allow for final export.
• Guest photo files: deleted after 30 days.
• Venue account data: retained for up to 1 year after subscription ends, then deleted.

6. Guest rights

If you are a guest who used a photo booth at a participating venue and would like to request deletion of your contact information, email us at info@design-elf.com with the approximate date and location of your visit. We will process your request within 30 days.

7. California residents — CCPA

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale (we do not sell personal data). To exercise these rights, contact info@design-elf.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising CCPA rights.

8. Cookies and tracking

Our marketing website (our4cuts.com) uses only functional cookies necessary to operate the site. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or behavioral analytics on this site.

9. Children's privacy

The photo booth is designed for all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal contact information from children under 13. Venues are responsible for ensuring minors under 13 do not submit contact information without parental consent.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. iPad devices are locked via Apple Guided Access and MDM to prevent unauthorized access. Venue data is isolated per account — your contacts are never accessible by other venues.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated to venue owners by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The current version is always at our4cuts.com/en/privacy/.
